Simple Operation
Simply turn it on and push to talk. Adjust the volume knob to set a comfortable listening level. The monitor button allows you to listen for other users' activity. For added convenience, the two-colour LED indicator lights red for transmit and green for an active channel.

PRS Repeater capable for even more range!

To achieve an even greater range, a radio repeater can be used. This where a station communicates with the repeater, which in turn re-broadcasts the signal to other stations on the same channel. Usually a repeater is sited at some elevation, thereby offering a much greater ‘line-of site’ range. All repeaters must be available for use by the general public i.e. they cannot be ‘private’. There are 8 channels available in New Zealand for PRS repeater use.
With this transceiver, these 8 channels are numbered 41 through 48. E.g. In Tauranga, there is a PRS repeater on channel 2. To access it, you would select 42 with this transceiver.
